ORANGE EASEL BIRTHDAY BOOKINGS
Updated 02/27/2021
Deposits
A 50% deposit (calculated off of the base rate of the party package) is due when booking your party. Deposits are paid online through our Sawyer system system. We do not take cash or check in the studio.
Deposits paid on private parties are non-refundable. If you cancel your party for any reason (including weather), you forfeit your deposit.
Weather
Our studios will not close for inclement weather unless we lose electricity. In the event that we can not be open for business, we will work to reschedule your party at our earliest opening. No additional deposit will need to be paid for the reschedule. No refunds will be made.
Attendance
Maximum party attendance must be adhered to and are the responsibility of the host family. If you exceed these maximums, it is not the Orange Easel instructor's responsibility to manage the excess guests. The host family will need to select the guests who get to participate. Violation of this policy results in a $100 fee.
All guests--adult and children--must be signed-in on the roster before entering the classroom.
Age Requirements
Guests must meet the age requirements of the party package. The only exception to this rule is younger siblings who may participate in older parties with a parent's assistance.
Changing Party Packages
In most cases, we cannot change party packages once the party has been booked and a deposit has been paid. It doesn't hurt to ask though. We'll do our best but we order party supplies based on the parties scheduled!
Arrival Time
Arrival time for you to do any set-up is 15-20 minutes prior to the start of that party. As our parties often times run back-to-back, we do not allow set-up to happen sooner. Our staff will be cleaning-up and setting-up as well. Please note that instructors will not be able to entertain/supervise children during this time. If you bring your children with you during this time, it’s a good idea to bring something for them to do. We have some blocks and some coloring supplies in the lobby.
Party guests who arrive early may wait in our lobby; party guest will not be allowed back into the classroom until the time of the party. Children are welcome to color or play with the blocks in the lobby. Restrooms are down the hall. We ask that guests do not disturb the classrooms, supply room, or office.
Parent Drop-off
Parents who are staying during the party, may either join us in the classroom or wait in the lobby.
Food
You are welcome to bring any treats you would like for your guests to enjoy after the art part of the party is over. In our experience, simpler is better. Guests are responsible for paper products, serving and eating utensils, candles, etc.
We have only two rules for food:
You will only have about 15 minutes to share treats. If you wish to do both food (such as pizza) and dessert, please let us know so we can shorten our art lesson to accommodate the extra time for food.
Gifts
Orange Easel instructors will facilitate the gift opening for your group.
Dismissal
Party will end promptly at the scheduled time and your instructor will escort all of the artist/parents out to the lobby. Orange Easel staff will return to the room to begin cleaning and resetting for the next event. You and your guests are welcome to hangout, re-group, gather, etc in the lobby for up to 15 minutes past your party time.
Payment
The remaining balance will include the other 50% of the party package, fees for additional artists, and any customizations/upgrades. Monday morning following your party, you'll receive an email from the booking system requesting that your balance be paid. This balance is due within 72 hours of recieving the request and is paid online the same way you paid your deposit. We do not take cash or check in the studio.
Failure to pay your balance within 72 hours may result in a late payment penalty fee of $50. Orange Easel reserves the right to charge the card on file for all monies due, including late fees, if the balance remains unpaid after 60 days.
